My great experience with filament

My Elegoo Filament Experience – Still My Go-To

When I first got into 3D printing, I tested filament from three different companies—some were good, some not so much. But the one I started with, and still use to this day, is Elegoo PLA. And honestly, I’m glad I began with it.

Elegoo’s filament was truly plug and play. It worked right out of the box with no complicated tuning, and the quality was impressive from the start. My prints came out clean, consistent, and solid.

At around $27 for two rolls, it’s a great deal. I’ve used their white, red, and black, and each color performed just as well as the last. This filament made me want to print more—it’s strong, has good impact resistance, and allowed me to create more functional prints without worrying too much about failure.

Of course, no filament is perfect. Elegoo can clog your nozzle or create the dreaded blob of doom if your printer isn’t well-maintained. Also, if you’re not using the right settings, some prints might weaken and break after a few days. But with some basic upkeep and good calibration, it’s very manageable.

If you’re new to 3D printing or just want something reliable, affordable, and easy to use, I’d absolutely recommend Elegoo PLA. I’m still printing with it today—and that says a lot.
